Located 283 km west of Dar es Salaam, the park was established in 1964 and up to now is widely considered as the country’s 4th largest national park. Meals and accommodation is included.

Meet at your hotel in Dar es Salaam at 5:00 am for pick up.
Transfer to Mikumi NP via Morogoro town.
Our tour guide/driver will drive you from Dar to Mikumi National Park. This road journey will take about 6 and half hours, giving you a good view of African village and township life along the road. You will stop for lunch in Morogoro town. On arrival in Mikumi, our tour guide will present entry papers at the gate and gain entry permit, and you will refresh before going into the park for afternoon game drives. Return to the lodge afterwards for evening relaxation, hot dinner, and overnight stay.

Early morning game drive at Mikumi Park until about 12:00 noon.
This tour starts very early while animals are still active looking for food and water. Experience the morning life of African wildlife in Mikumi.
What will you see during game drive in Mikumi NP?
Mikumi is a paradise for nature lovers. At this park you will see elephants, lions, zebras, giraffes, Impalas, Hyena, Buffalo, Wildebeest, one of the biggest antelope in the world, the Eland, Crocodile, Hippos, Lizards, a lot of impalas and other small resident animals such as wild rabbits. The Park also has over 300 bird species that have been observed and you will be able to see some birds any time of the year.
Afterwards you will exit the national park and begin your journey back to Dar es Salaam in our air conditioned transfer van in the good and tarmacked Iringa - Morogoro road. You will enjoy additional game drive en-route the road that cuts through the national park. Stop for lunch at a restaurant in Morogoro. Drop off will be at your selected hotel, hostel, or airport.
