4 Days Mikumi National Park and Mount Uluguru Hiking Itinerary
Dar es salaam- Mikumi
Meet at your hotel in Dar es Salaam at 6:00 am. Transfer to Mikumi NP via Morogoro town. stop for lunch at a restaurant in Morogoro Town. Arrive in Mikumi, do a game drive with a sunset view and watch the animals drink water at the hippo pool. Some of the prominent features to seek after in the game drive include the artificial hippo pools filled with huge groups of hippos. After sunset, transfer to the Camp Bastian for overnight.

Early morning game drives at Mikumi park and enjoy the sunrise while seeing a different kinds of wildlife.
This tour starts very early while animals are still actively looking for food and water. Experience the morning life of African wildlife. Continue with the game drive till evening, and exit the national park. Lunch will be served inside the park, where you will experience the authenticity of African wildlife while eating your lunch. Later evening, transfer to your Camp Bastian for overnight.

Masai Village tour - Drive to Morogoro
After breakfast, you will visit Masai village for a cultural tour. Here, you will able to experience and see how the Masai live on a day-to-day basis. And you will have an opportunity to learn a few things about their culture and customs. If times allow, you will also pass by the local women’s market. Later on in the afternoon, you will drive to Morogoro town overnight at Simbamwenni lodge.

Hiking in the Uluguru Mountains-Drive to Dar es Salaam
After breakfast, you head to the starting point and hike towards Choma waterfalls. The local guide will tell you everything you need to know and show you his knowledge about medicines plants and birds. This is more of a walk through the villages on a steep dirt trail than it is a true “hike” through treacherous terrain. This is the best way to get closer to the local people of that area. After the hike, you will begin your journey back to Dar es salaam city. You will be dropped off at your hotel/airport/ferry port.
