2-Day Nyerere National Park Safari Experience Itinerary

Day 1

Transfer from Dar es Salaam to Nyerere National Park with a full day of Game Drives and Animal Sighting.

Transfer to Nyerere National Park by Road, departing early in the morning at 5:30 am. Breakfast will be served upon your arrival at the lodge/ tented camp.

After a short rest, you will go to the national park and enjoy a full day of game drives and animal viewing in a modern safari vehicle.

Common animals found in this park: Hippos, Hyenas, Wildebeest, Elephants, Giraffes, Lions and Zebras. On some occasional days, wild dogs and leopards can also be spotted at this park.

Around 1:30pm, our tour guide will stop the safari car for you to enjoy a picnic lunch. The animal sighting experience will continue after your bush lunch until evening.

The park is well known for its large variety of birds. Nyerere park’s scenery is also a beautiful sight with a varied terrain including wetlands, dry savannah areas, woodlands, swamps, rivers, and small lakes.

Return safely to the lodge/ tented camp for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2

Boat Safari and Return to Dar Es Salaam.

Boat Safari and Return to Dar Es Salaam.
Enjoy a hot breakfast at the lodge/ tented camp, followed by a short drive to the Rufiji River for a morning Boat Safari. Our tour of the park via the Boat Safari will usually last about 1 to 2 hours.

Here you will discover the Rufiji River by boat, encounter hippos, monkeys, and crocodiles in good numbers. You will also see the colorful birds of the Selous greater area.Return to the lodge/ tented camp for checkout and proceed with the journey back to the city.

End of Safari Service.

This tour requires a minimum of two travellers sharing double room for overnight stay with the option of double bed or twin beds per room available on request.
