Embark on a short safari adventure with our 2-day flying safari from Zanzibar to Nyerere National Park in mainland Tanzania. This park is home to diverse wildlife, including lions, giraffes, and elephants, beautiful scenery, rivers, lakes, forests and woodlands.

Kick off your journey as you take a short flight from Zanzibar airport at 6:00 am, and arrive at the National Park at about 7:15am. You will be met with our safari guides, and hop onto our open safari car for a full day of animal sightings and game drive. Enjoy a relaxing evening and night at the lodge, complete with private shower and toilet.

2-Day Zanzibar Fly-In Safari to Nyerere National Park – Mid-Range Safari Itinerary

Day 1

Scenic flight and game drives in the park

Kick off your journey by taking the early morning local flight from Zanzibar airport to Nyerere National Park, in mainland Tanzania, where the thrill of safari adventures awaits. Our tour guide will be at Mtemere airstrip to welcome you. You will go for a bush breakfast and then proceed to enjoy a full day of game drives in the park. Animals such as giraffes, zebras, lions, elephants, buffalos, hippos, crocs, antelopes, and wildebeests are plentiful here. You may also see a cheetah, a leopard, or a black rhino.
You will break for a hot picnic lunch in the afternoon and get time to stretch and rest. Then with our guide team, continue with afternoon game drives until sunset when you will drive to the lodge for diner, rest and overnight. The lodge is located 8km from the national park.
Meals: Full Board.

Day 2

Maasai village, Boat safari, and a Flight to Zanzibar

Enjoy a hot breakfast at the lodge before starting off to the nearest Maasai tribal village for a cultural tourism experience. This will be followed by a Boat safari in the Rufiji river, Tanzania's largest river. See hippos, crocodiles and lots of birds on this exciting boat adventure with our expert guide proving you all the interesting details as you go. Return to the safari lodge afterwards for refreshment, relaxation and hot lunch.
After lunch, you will relax at the lodge until its time to drive to the Mtemere airstrip for your late afternoon flight back to Zanzibar. The flight will be between 3:00pm and 4:00pm. On arrival in Zanzibar, our driver will pick you and drop you off at your selected hotel.

End of safari service.
