After pick-up from Morogoro Sgr train station, your dedicated safari guide will warmly welcome you and begin
the drive toward Mikumi National Park. As you approach the park, the landscape opens into wide grasslands
teeming with wildlife. By early afternoon, you will enter the park for your first game drive. Your guide will take you
through the famous Mkata floodplain, home to elephants, giraffes, buffalo, wildebeest, zebras, antelopes, warthogs,
and more. This area is known for its excellent visibility and frequent encounters with predators, especially lions.
Lunch will be enjoyed inside the park before continuing with extended wildlife viewing. Later in the evening, you will
head to Vuma Hill Tented Camp for dinner and overnight relaxation.

After breakfast at Camp Bastian Lodge, you will set out for a full day of wildlife exploration in Mikumi
National Park. Your expert guide will navigate a variety of ecosystems including open savannas, acacia
woodlands, and seasonal waterholes—key areas for wildlife sightings. The morning game drive offers
excellent chances to see lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, hippos, and a wide array of bird species. Your
guide will interpret animal behavior and track recent wildlife activity to maximize high-quality sightings.
Lunch will be served at the park’s central restaurant, offering beautiful views across the plains. In the
afternoon, continue exploring deeper sections of the park, often quieter and rich with wildlife movement. If
you wish, you may also visit a Maasai village (USD 15 per person), where you will experience Maasai
traditions, dances, and learn about their pastoral lifestyle. Return to Vuma Hill Tented Lodge in the early
evening for dinner and a restful overnight stay.

After enjoying your final breakfast at Vuma Hill Tented Camp, you will begin your return journey to Dar es
salaam. Relax as you travel through scenic landscapes and local villages.
Upon arrival in Dar es Salaam, you will be dropped at ferry station, that will be marking the end of your
unforgettable safari.
