We will arrange this fantastic program for you to explore Selous /Julius Nyerere National Park with the largest river in the country, the mighty Rufiji River. This park may have up to 600 lions, an incredible amount considering the total population of lions in Africa is estimated to have dwindled down to about 32000. Other animals that can be found here are hippos, crocodiles, wildebeests, hyenas, leopards, elands, impalas, giraffes, zebras, buffalos, the African wild dogs, elephants, and antelopes. You will not regret visiting the Park as the Southern circuit is much less frequented by tourists compared to the busier northern circuit (Serengeti; Ngorongoro). This is a quintessential and unique wildlife experience. Your safari also begins from the commercial hub of Dar es Salaam so it is easier to connect with international flights.
Day 01 - Dar Es Salaam City - Selous/Nyerere National Park
The park is located about 219 kilometers from the commercial capital city of Dar es salaam and will usually take about 4 to 5 hours drive. Morning at 07 hrs pickup from your hotel in Dar es Salaam and start your journey to Selous / Nyerere National Park. With your packed lunch you will be on your way to the great Selous Game Reserve. In the late afternoon, you will head for a boat safari along the mighty Rufiji River. One can view game from the water and you will get opportunity of seeing a large variety of wildlife in this game reserve. Boating safari usually takes 2-3 hours. You will discover the Rufiji River by boat, encounter hippos, monkeys and crocodiles in good numbers. You will also see some of the 350 bird species that have been recorded in the Selous Game Reserve. Meals and overnight will be at one of the beautiful Selous tented camps.

Day 02 - Full Day At Selous Game Reserve
Today after breakfast earl in the morning at 6:30a.m,you will get an opportunity to full game drive .You will use open pop-up cruiser vehicle which will allow you to see large population of elephant, big number of buffalo and wild dog. Other species commonly seen are lion, bushbuck, impala, giraffe, eland, baboon, zebra, Kudus and Crocodile. Also, you will have a chance to capture good photos of different birds, beautiful nature scenes and animals.
Meals - Full Board Basis
Day 03 - Walking Safari and afternoon Game drive
Today we go to the famous Serengeti.
After breakfast, you will start with early walking safari, accompanied by an expert ranger at all times. This will enable you view animals closer which you might miss from the game drive to watch the birds, animals tracks, plants, insects and flowers. The focus is also on the habitat that the animals live in, insects, trees and birdlife. Surely, walking safari will give you a particularly intimate feel for the African wilds .It will offer a good chance of seeing giraffe, zebra, elephant, and good birding. You will have a chance to capture good photos of different birds, beautiful nature sceneries and animals. Lunch at the Lodge and proceeds with afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight at your requested accommodation.
Day 04 - Sunrise and Sunset in Selous
At 6:00 am sharp ready for early game viewing and Sunrise at Julius Nyerere National Park. At 08: am you will go back to your accommodation for breakfast. Taking a rest and relax waiting for lunch time. Late evening you will proceed with game drives and enjoy the Sunset as it goes down.
Day 05 - Selous to Dar Es Salaam
After breakfast you will drive and travel back to Dar es salaaam for your International connection, hotel relaxation, or other destinations.
