3 Days 2 Nights at Mikumi National Park Safari
This is a private safari with using a private safari jeep as mode of transportation. It will start and end at Dar es salaam. This tour offers you the opportunity to visit the Mikumi National Park & the nearby Maasai village. With 3,230 square kilometers coverage, Mikumi National Park is a well-established national park in Tanzania’s southern tour circuit. The park is well-known for its population of elephants, giraffes’ buffaloes, zebras, elands, and greater Kudu, wildebeest, lion and sable antelope. The park was established in 1964.
Day 01 – Dar es Salaam city to Mikumi National park
Meet and greet at agreed location in Dar es Salaam. Transfer to Mikumi by road NP via Morogoro Town. Connect African Safaris will drive you from Dar–es- salaam early in the morning straight to Mikumi National Park. The drive will take about 6 hours including a lunch stop at the restaurant in Morogoro Town.
On arrival you will proceed to the park and start with game drives. Here you will get an opportunity to see the most fascinating animals such as huge African elephants, king of the jungle Lion, wild dog, Zebras, Giraffes, Impalas, Hyena, Buffalo, Wildebeest, one of the biggest antelope in the world the Eland, Hartebeest, Lions and other residents. The park also has over 300 species of birds that have been observed.
Late afternoon you will do a game drive with sunset view and watch the animals drink water at a hippo pool. It will offer you an opportunity to explore and see the wildlife in their natural habitat. Some of the prominent features to seek after in the game drive include the artificial hippo pools filled huge school of hippos swimming. Also you will get opportunity to sport adult elephants and a baby elephant drinking from the pool and having a mud bath to cool their body, and also bird-watching along the waterways.
In addition to that you will sport crocodiles outside the pool hang around with their mouths open as a way to avoid overheating. Dinner and overnight will be at Mikumi Cottages inside the park.

Day 02 - Maasai Village Tour
Early in the after breakfast, exit your lodge and head to the park in search for wildlife in a thrilling game drive. Be on the look for the wildebeests, elephant’s giraffes, lions, buffaloes and many more. Have a lunch break and later visit other park locations such as the Mkata, Chamgore (place of pythons) and Mkata flood plains.
Later on, you will exit the park and get another opportunity to visit the Maasai people which is one of the well-known tribes in Tanzania with their unique and ancient beliefs, rituals and attire. They are slowly modernizing and younger members are leaving their homelands and traditions for life in the city. Here you will have personal Maasai guide who will explain the life of the Maasai of Tanzania, their local food, activities inside the village without forgetting interesting traditional singing and dancing

Day 03 - Back to Dar Es Salaam
Today you will start your journey back to Dar- es- salaam. Along Mikumi Road you will have a chance to sport some animals. Then stop somewhere in a Morogoro Restaurant for lunch and proceeding with your journey to Dar- es –salaam for International Connection or hotel relaxation.
